The scientific literature on this subject documents that solar products, in addition to preventing sunburn as a result of exposure to the sun's rays, have several benefits:

In our skin photobiology department the effectiveness of products is evaluated using different methods involving in vivo, ex vivo or in vitro study protocols, such as:

• In vivo SPF detection test value in accordance with ISO 24444, FDA, COLIPA and AS/NZS regulations
• In vitro UVA protection factor determination test (ISO 24443)
• water resistance evaluation
• Phototoxicity (OECD 432) and photoirritation (PHOTOPATCH)
• Protection against blue and infrared light
• Antioxidant and soothing efficacy
• Quantification of UV filters
• Stability studies

COMPLIFE is enrolled in the proficiency test program (BIPEA) for the evaluation of the SPF, placing itself among the most performing and qualified laboratoriesin the sector: this is a sign of the quality of the proposed tests and transparency of the results obtained.

In the field of solar product testing, the Group boasts experts and specialized technicians, both from a technical executive point of view and from advice in the interpretation of data, able to find and propose an alternative solution when the results are different from the expected giving to the customer a costant support.
